New Water
I
I was drowning in a river of truth
Searching for a lifeline to cling to
Life was empty like the dark before dawn
I was sinking and I couldn't go on
II
All my memories seemed to be of bad things
Trouble and guilt always followed
In a time when I needed a friend
I turned to world things again and again
Chorus
Then he washed all my sins with New Water
And I watched as they drifted away
I have a new life with God at my side
And his pure light will fill up my days
III
There was a time when I heard of God's Love
But the world seemed to keep me from listening
God was patient because he knew I was scared
And when he called me he knew I'd be there
Chorus 2x and out
