Roll Away the Stone
Jesus walked to Bethany to comfort,
Knowing what was in store.
Bearing a gift so precious
No one could have asked for more.
Mary said, "Lord, if you had been here,
My brother would not have died."
He asked where they'd laid him,
With tears glistening in his eyes.
Roll away the stone
Peer behind the veil
Believe what God has shone
Life that will not fail
Mary and Martha stood behind him,
Two shadows cast in the tomb.
Jesus breathed life into the body
And death fled from the room.
"Martha, did I not tell you,
That if you believed in me,
You would see the glory of God?"
"Behold! Lazarus is free!"
Roll away the stone
Peer behind the veil
Believe what God has shone
Life that will not fail
By His blood, we shall live
By His Love, we can give
